A Recommendation
The Pact written by Doctors Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt, and George Jenkins. My recommendation is for all young men to read this book because, it's a good book that shows the struggle of growing up in a rough neighborhood with no role models, but still that your friends and yourself can be all the role model you need to make difference in your life. This book should be read by male or females who feel they can't accomplish their dreams in life, because this book shows you that with hard work and dedication anything is possible.
My reflection
The Pact was a good novel about three young men making a promise and fulfilling a dream to become doctors. They were three young men that had rough life's and grew up in a rough neighborhood with few good role models. The kids in the neighborhood remind me of kids in my neighborhood they didn't ever see a future for themselves, and I wish we had strong men such as Sam, Rameck, and George to influence others our age when we were growing up. And I think that it's good that three young guys their age came together to make a promise that they would accomplish something with their lives, and be better then the guys in the neighborhood they grew up in.

People in the neighborhood offered to help George anyway they could even though they didn't have much. So he felt like he was going to school for his entire neighborhood to keep them proud.

Role Model
There role models was each other. George pushed them to all go to college together. All of them wanted to go but they figured it wasn't a option for them.
My Role Models and Influence
Well I have a few role models actually one of them are my uncle Robert Ed he has been a role model to me since birth. Even though he cant really read he guided me to be a strong person. He always told me never to let anybody tell me I cant accomplish nothing in life, he said if I put my mind to it I can do it. Also there was my grandpa my uncle dad he showed me how to work on the farm and work on cars. To me them thing will always give me something to do and they both are ways to make money.
A person that Influence me was my girlfriend we been dating for five years. She influenced me to go to school and make something of my life. She seen that nobody in my family had gone to college so she wanted me to be different and go take a few classes to see how I liked it. Well I am in college and it isn't so bad after all.

Summary and Response
Sam and George had been friend since seventh grade and went to university high school together which is a school for talented young adults. In there junior year is when they became friends with Rameck it was clear that like George that Sam and Remeck wanted to do something with there life even though they didn't no what yet.The boys decided to attend the presentation from Seton hall university then George was attracted to the idea that saint hall provided training for minority student to enter medicine.George figured that this is what they all needed to do. And this is when the Pact begin.
When growing up Rameck had no example to flow how a man should be.So he just followed his friend to be cool.Until he ended up in jail and his friends wanted him to take the fall, At this point is when Rameck realized these want the friends for him. They all applied to Seton Hall and all got accepted.
They all had came together now so I think that they will be alright and make it since there are no distraction. All of them have hope and they accomplish something besides being on the streets. And it is amazing how there so young and come together and make promise they all have to keep. And start there little click the Pact.

Personal response to the reading of The Pact
To me they all had there own problems all the times. And since they was so young they had to deal with it. And i feel bad because young people tend to do want they see that happen in there childhood. And also the three boys had some good and some bad. They all still had dreams they wanted to accomplish but they was not sure they could do it.
